I hope you had a joyous and blessed Christmas with family and friends! I'm excited to share with you a couple pages from the recent Cozy Christmas Album class to assist in getting all of those holiday pictures off your camera and into an album. The page shared today is the first chipboard page that is part of a Simple Stories 6 x8 SNAP Album. The pages created use products from the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas Collection.
Check back as more pages in this album are shared this week.
You will be making a pocket with this card.
Cut down your card to 5 ½” x 3 ½” removing the numbering on the left hand side of card.
Add red diagonal sticker strip across top of pocket
Add adhesive tape to only the right and left sides and bottom edge of card. Adhere to page as pictured.
Add “dec 25” ephemera (from bits & pieces bag) to card as pictured.
Using the 3 ornaments from the Bits & Pieces bag, adhere these to the top of page as pictured. Pop dots were used behind the right and left ornaments.
Using baker’s twine, add a swag to top of page, following lines of printing on page. Add a couple small bows to the right & left ornament, adhering with glue dots.
Tag 1: I used the “Oh what Fun It Is” 3 x 4 element card from collection. I angled the sides to form a tag shape. However, this is optional. You could also use a corner rounder or just leave square top edge if desired.
Fold red stripe ribbon in half and staple to the top of the card.
Tag 2: The second tag is cut 3” x 4” from extra green/red polka dot #5408 paper left over from another page.
I used tag 1 as a template to angle the corner edges. Again, this step is optional if you prefer using a corner rounder or leaving as a straight edge.
Use “jolly” round sticker on front and “spread the cheer” round sticker on back, matching up the shapes to adhere to each other forming a tab as shown on picture.
Add a star from the bits & pieces bag to card as pictured.
Adhere a small red sequin to round sticker as pictured.
Note: Pictures can be added to the back of tag 1 and to the front & back of tag 2 as desired.
Adhere a red bubble dot to the middle ornament.
Adhere a red crystal dot, white pearl and white resin flower to sleigh (as pictured in bottom right area of page).
Adhere word “Christmastime” from element sticker sheet to tabbed edge.
Chipboard Middle Page (Front) Note: This page I added additional products: Hazel & Ruby sequins, white doily and polaroid die-cut.
Use 6 x 12 cardstock piece from # 5415 page elements.
Cut to make the page 6” x 8” and where the printed snowflake pattern will be in the bottom right corner of page.
Adhere this paper to the chipboard page.
Adhere a snowflake doily (personal stash) to page about 1” down from top of cardstock edge and polaroid frame die-cut as shown in picture, making sure to only adhere the sides and bottom of the polaroid frame so you can insert a picture.
Note: If you don't have a polaroid die-cut you can always make your own using an exacto knife and ruler.
Cut in half and adhere a crème/white snowflake sticker to the top left edge and “let it snow” banner sticker slightly overlapping edge of snowflake as shown in picture.
Use a larger crème/white snowflake ephemera piece & the other half of the snowflake sticker, adhere to the right lower edge of polaroid frame as shown in picture. Use a pop-dot for the larger snowflake.
Adhere the sticker “jack frost nipping…” to piece of pre-cut brown banner and adhere to bottom right area of polaroid frame, tucking slightly under snowflake piece.
Adhere sequins to page as shown in picture (product from Hazel & Ruby).
Adhere little word sticker “let it snow” to tabbed edge of chipboard
